Most parents are ready just as their 4 or 5 year old is for a more structured and stimulating environment where that transition to education can begin.  As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Owner and Director of a Childcare Centre in Mississauga and a parent of two children who have just transitioned through the JK/SK (Junior Kindergarten/Senior Kindergarten) years I understand what decisions parents must make at this time. Mississauga Family Day 2010 PDF Print E-mail

Approximately  60% of Canadians enjoy a statutory holiday in February on the 3rd Monday, which coincides with the US holiday Presidents Day.  The holiday is called "Family Day" in most provinces, "Louis Riel Day" in Manitoba and "Islander Day” on Prince Edward Island.  This year Family Day falls on Monday February 15, 2010.  There will be plenty of ways for Mississauga Kids and families to have fun together.  Click read more for a growing list of events and activities!
