Mandi Galer has been named a Maestro Producer by Kindermusik International, the world’s leading publisher of music and movement programs. Galer is an early childhood specialist at Sing. Galer teaches Kindermusik in Port Credit. The Maestro Producer award recognizes that Galer has achieved excellence in Maestro Producer, ranking in the top 5% / 1% of Kindermusik programs worldwide in reaching the most children. “The Kindermusik Maestro has a mission: helping children become better learners and helping parents understand how to help them reach their highest potential,” said Michael Dougherty, CEO at Kindermusik International.
Galer is one of 5,000 licensed educators in the world who use Kindermusik’s music and movement curricula. Galer began providing Kindermusik at Small Wunders Child Care Centre in March of 2007 and opened the doors at her own studio location, Sing in January of 2008. Today Galer teaches the learning program to 90 families.
In the last year, Galer has worked diligently to spread the word about her programs by participating in the worldwide Kindermusik event, Demo Days; offering free demonstrations to local moms groups, Early Years Centres and preschools; running a strong online marketing campaign; having information available in local businesses and participating in local events such as Port Credit’s Paint the Town Red.
“Being recognized as a Kindermusik Maestro came as a shock, especially so early in my career! I’ve worked extremely hard and really struggled to get where I am today, so being recognized with this award by my peers is a wonderful feeling, it really reinforces my sense of accomplishment. I really feel blessed!,” said Galer.
The Maestro Program recognizes licensed Kindermusik educators who master one of three levels in early childhood development: fast-growing programs, outstanding community service, or teaching excellence.
Kindermusik International is the world’s leading publisher of music and movement curricula for parents and their children, newborn to 7 years old. More than 5,000 licensed educators use the Kindermusik curricula in more than 35 countries, reaching more than 1 million families. The award-winning books, CDs, games, and instruments are based on more than 30 years of experience creating curricula based on new and proven research in child development, designed to nurture skills in the whole child: cognitive, physical, social, emotional, language and musical.
