City of Mississauga Splash Pads PDF Print E-mail

Hey Mississauga’s Splash Pads are now open! Yes, due to the early warm weather, Mississauga has opened its splash pads early. Bring your kids to one of Mississauga’s numerous splash pads this season and have some wet and refreshing fun! Can you think of a better way to spend free time with the kids on a hot, sunny day?

Splash pads are a great fun way to spend the day with the kids. Since splash pads have no standing water, the risk of a drowning accident occurring is at a minimum which makes this kids’ activity a great safe choice.

Did you know that due to age, six out of seven outdoor swimming pools in Mississauga are closing? Apparently the six outdoor swimming pools that are scheduled to close are being rebuilt as they are between 30 to 35 years old and are in need of updating. The only outdoor swimming pool that will remain open is the Dan McLean/Westacres Pool which is located near Cawthra Road and the QEW. The remaining six will be closed this season and will re-open for the 2011 summer season.

In Mississauga, splash pads are open to all and are free of charge. Mississauga splash pads are open from 9 am to 8:30 pm, seven days a week from June to mid-September, weather dependent. Residents are encouraged to call before visiting any of the locations listed below.
