Converse Language Camp has carefully selected 22 summer to induce a hands-on, active and fun method of learning, with 5 or 6 daily activities to take place both inside and outside. With no more than 8 participants per team, these activities, allow the children to process their emotions before their words, and thus our activities are geared to stimulate an engagement that sustains fun, interest and drives the development of French. During the week our camper act and “live” in the target language. With 3 sections, Lang-Junior, Lang-Elite or Lang-expert Converse Centre camp fit all levels and ages from 5 to 17 years old. Programs are offered in a safe and quaint school few blocks from a park. It is a perfect setting for camp atmosphere and fun. Fun swim (one or 2 afternoons per week) is part of “Lang-junior” program. I Lunch program as well as before and after hour services are available. Summer Showtime is a unique and entertaining way to maintain and enhance academic skills while engaging all students in an exciting programme. Grade JK-8 Students explore math, reading and writing through a different theme each week. All programmes will be structured to meet the needs of the individual student and will include a component of technology. Content from the academic programme will be integrated into the “camp” portion of their day, providing the opportunity to bring their learning to life! The students will work with professionals from the arts, sports, science and media fields, along with Star Academy staff to create a culminating task to present to families each Friday afternoon. Held at Master Seung's Taekwondo's Argentia location kids attending this summer camp in Mississauga will make movies that teach them about sports safety, nutrition tips, self defense, with all the attention to discipline, focus, respect, in short, all the things that make martial arts such a positive influence on kids’ lives. They will be kept physically active for most of the day not only with taekwondo but with other sports games. It offers quality coaching for boys and girls, no matter what skill level they are at, beginners on up. With a great coach-to-player ratio, they teach soccer skills to children and help them improve their game. A professional player is brought in to offer a special seminar. The camp introduces the world of finances to boys and girls in a lively and interactive environment conducive to learning many valuable lessons about money. The "Money Facts & Fun" group, ages 6-8 years, read fairy tales with known characters and play fun games to reinforce money concepts about earning, saving, spending, and sharing.
