Happy Birthday Canada! Mississauga has 3 different Canada Day Celebrations going on again this year. There are parades, cakes, fireworks and more! You can celebrate Canada Day in Mississauga at Square One, in the village of Streetsville or down by the water in Port Credit. There's something for everyone in Mississauga!

Start celebrating early this year with Councillor Eve Adam's Canada Day Party 2010 on Sunday June 7th. Held from 1-3 at Iceland's Park Gazebo at Kennedy and Matheson there will be a Free BBQ, free full sized Hersey's chocolate bars, Starbuck's iced tea, Tim Horton's Juices and more! Ids will get to meet Cinderella play games, run in the splash pad and tumble in a bouncy castle.
At Square One you can Celebrate Canada Day at City Centre. From 1 pm to 10:30 there will be kids activities, magic show, crafts, a climbing wall, acrobats, and an extreme trampoline show There will be music provided by Canadian Music Icon Gord Downie and the Country of Miracles, rising star Eva Avila and country music star Marshall Dane, all hosted by Mississauga's local funny man Mike Bullard. food and of course fireworks. This year because city hall and liberty square are under construction the Management at Square One has offered the use of their roof top for the fire works display! The fireworks begin at 10:10 pm, last year over 120,000 people showed up for this Birthday Bash so consider taking public transit.
On Canada Day in Streetsville there will be great fun for the whole family starting at 6:00pm with traditional celebration on Main Street with clowns, face painting, magician, craft tables and adult and kiddie strikers. This year's main stage will include: A First Nations Dance Group, Martial Arts demonstration, a performance by a Mississauga Dance School, and an outdoor concert sponsored by a Mississauga Music School. Fireworks will be in Memorial Park at 10 p.m.
Port Credit's Annual Paint the Town Red Canada Day starts early with a Sunrise Ceremony at 5:30 a.m. In Memorial Park. At 10:00 things really get rolling with music in Memorial Park. At 11:00 a.m. There will be a parade followed by a giant flag cake cutting ceremony at 12:30 p.m. With Mayor Hazel! Rock the rest of the day away as Legends Live pays tribute to Shania Twain, The Bee Gees, Tom Jones, Lady Gaga, Abbamania, and Rod Stewart. There will be a BBQ on Front Street North starting at 12:00 p.m. Where Kids will eat Free! Stop by the Recency Retirement Residence from 2:00 to 4:00 for a free ice cream social. Also going on is the "A Taste of Port Credit" where 13 restaurants will be providing a taste of all ten provinces and 3 territories. Celebrate Canada Day with your Hometown Mississauga Twins! On July 1st at 7:00pm the Mississauga Twins take on the Barrie Baycats at Meadowvale Field. Make sure to wear red and white to gain free admission to the game! There will be Free Transit available on July 1 throughout Mississauga from 7:00 a.m. To 11:00 p.m. Make it a green day and leave the car at home.
